Sonia Allinson-Penny
Founder
Sonia is the founder of the Human Factor Health Check (HFHC). She developed the methodology in 2019, upon invitation by an investor, and has seven years of experience of applying it across Europe.
A psychometric expert, with over 20 years experience as Head of global functions in the field of Human Resources and Operations, Sonia now runs a consulting business based out of SW France. She saw a gap in the market to provide investors and founders with data backed insights into the human factors behind successful scale-ups.
Sonia expanded the team in 2022, with trusted Associates who can blend science and art in deploying the HFHC.
Sonia is qualified in Hogan’s HDI, MVP and HDS and SHL’s Occupational Personality Questionnaire and 360 feedback. She works solely in the English language and travels regularly for work purposes across Europe and beyond.

Marcela Schrank Fialova
Associate
An organisational psychologist, Marcela brings expertise from her focus on human capability building in the fields of AI, data analytics and digitalisation. She combines her HR consulting and coaching work, with being an experienced Associate in HFHC assessments for small and medium size enterprises.
Marcela enjoys the blend of using objective data from the assessments and surveys, with the one-on-one interviews which bring the data to life and gives individuals an opportunity to add their flavour to the input and results. She is most proud of the requests that she has received from Founders and their teams for additional guidance and insights, post the due diligence process.
Marcela is qualified in Hogan’s HDI, MVP and HDS and SHL’s Occupational Personality Questionnaire and 360 feedback. She is an ICF accredited coach.
Based in Munich, Marcela can work in English, German or Czech.

Simona Anderson Burley
Associate
A molecular biotechnologist by training, Simona brings four years of experience in the start-up ecosystem, spanning corporate accelerators, venture consulting, and hands-on company-building.
As a Venture Manager she supported life science and deep-tech ventures in strategy, market access, and fundraising, while consulting corporates and research institutions on innovation management.
Simona has led the founding of the Life Science Entrepreneurship Academy in Berlin as a talent development initiative for entrepreneurial PhDs and will combine her ongoing startup work with being an Associate in HFHC assessments.
Simona is qualified in SHL’s Occupational Personality Questionnaire and is a trained psychological consultant.
Based in Munich, she works fluently in English and German and travels regularly for work purposes.

Ian McDonald
External Advisor
Ian brings 25 years experience in the European financial services industry in the UK, Spain and France, combining responsibilities as a profit centre and business unit leader with 12 years of expertise in talent assessment.
He has extensive experience in the fields of leadership assessment and development, including providing 360 degree feedback. He has worked at graduate, manager and executive talent levels.
Ian is qualified in Genos Emotional Intelligence, Hogan HDI, MVP and HDS, SHL’s Occupational Personality Questionnaire and 360 feedback and works in English and French.
Based in Paris he runs his own consulting business. A prior Associate, he provides sound-boarding and advice on the growth of the Human Factor Health Check.

Divya Sharma
Project Manager
Divya is CIPD level 7 qualified and an ICF coaching in training. Upon completion of the NHS HR Graduate Management Scheme she held multiple roles in SMEs, focusing on organisational development topics. She is a specialist in cognitive neurodiversity, which is often present in entrepreneurial settings.
Divya is project managing the HFHC suite of post due diligence modules, encompassing toolkits for Employer Brand/Employee Value Proposition; Total Rewards; Career Pathing.
Divya is based in London and works exclusively in English.
